Construction

Full blown construction has begun on the building. The building has been gutted and we are now putting it back together. You have to love opening up that can or worms and see what you find. A few unexpected projects came up but nothing that we can't deal with.

I flew my brother in from Lake Tahoe along with his youngest son and they are working their butts off. Fineline Carpentry is heading up the project and keep things on track.

First floor drywall is almost complete, the bathroom is framed and wiring is going in.

Sonia and the boys are in West Palm Beach with the Varsity Lacrosse team from Carthage. They are playing a lot of lacrosse and having a blast. Yesterday they went on air boats and visited the everglades. Mike and Dan both had the opportunity to hold crocodiles yesterday and Sonia sent me the photos of them.

The last few days.....

WOW!!! What a ride it has been since closing on the building and our loans for the business. That happened on Wednesday and on Thursday the phone and internet arrived to the office. And who would have expected it, but a buyer walked in the first day while we were setting up the office. We are not complaining.

The location of our new office is awesome and the traffic driving by each day is incredible. A lot of the local residents, our neighbors, and friends have been stopping by to check out the office and to say "Hi". It is such a nice environment to do business in.

Tonight is the final planning board meeting after 6 months and 4 meetings later to include, the Village Planning Board, Town of Leray, Jefferson County, and the Zoning Board of Appeals. We should get our final stamp of approval for our modifications to the building and the parking lot that will be installed. It was a long process but thanks to everyone involved they approved us each step of the way. Our plan was right in line with what the residents of Black River envisioned for the downtown development of Black River. Lucky Us!

Feel free to stop in and say Hi to Sonia (my wife) and Rebecca (our administrative assistant) and Roxy (our chocolate lab) she doesn't bite but might lick you to death. And if you are lucky, I might be in the office between listing and selling properties.

Hope you are enjoying our beautiful weather and don't forget to visit the CLAYTON BOAT SHOW in Clayton and the HOME SHOW at the fairgrounds in Watertown on April 9-April 11.
